Opera Brava return to Hever with a fabulous cast of young, exciting and talented singers mixed with international artists who perform in major opera houses including English National Opera and the Royal Opera House. Their operas are fully staged and costumed, sung in English and accompanied by a piano and chamber ensemble.

The first half presents The Impresario by Mozart, a fully costumed 18th century comic opera sparkling with wit and humour, as well as powdered wigs and period costumes!

After the interval, enjoy a selection of well-known arias, duets, trios and ensembles from operas and musicals, ranging from Mozart to Sondheim, interspersed with informative and comic anecdotes. A delightful evening of inspiring music that includes classics such as The Pearl Fishers Duet and The Flower Duet.

Set in Paris in the 1830s amongst a group of impoverished Bohemians, the opera centres around the tragic love affair between the seamstress, Mimi, and Rodolfo, a poet. Frivolity, joy, tenderness and sorrow are all expressed in the wonderful music of this most treasured of operas.

La Bohème is a masterpiece and the sensational cast in this production succeed in bringing out the real heart of Puccini's finest score.

Caterham based charity International Needs is hosting a summer jazz concert featuring Raul D'Oliveira and the JetStream Jazz Big Band on June 3rd here in the grounds of Hever Castle to raise funds for its Water Projects. These focus on providing families around the world with access to clean water, building sanitation facilities, and educating families on safe hygiene practices. This helps reduce the burden of waterborne disease for families.

Bring a picnic, enjoy the beautiful grounds and lake whilst listening to some great music. All are welcome to this special event.
