Motown & More
Sat 3 May 8pm
Two Sisters’ Theatre
We’re Dancing on the Ceiling with excitement! Returning following their recent sell-out stellar show, we can’t wait to welcome the brilliant, Motown and More back to the festival in 2025.
Festival superstar performers with a reputation as the UK’s finest Motown and Soul Show, Soul Family’s ‘Motown and More’ is the defining sound of soul and R&B music. Take a listen below and you will see why…
‘Natalie was all dazzling smiles and high-kneed strut as she belted out numbers from the album, swooping high a la Aretha. This was hard-hitting Earth, Wind and Fire stuff, full of funky momentum!’ Evening Standard
Led by the inimitable Natalie Williams, they perform a sparling selection of the greatest songs ever – from the likes of Stevie Wonder, The Four Tops, The Supremes , and Marvin Gaye. All the performers are at the top of their game and are some of the most sought-after musicians in the UK, having worked with artists such as: Amy Winehouse, Robbie Williams, Basement Jaxx, Jacob Collier and countless more. But it is in Soul Music that their true passions lie, as anyone who has seen the Motown & More shows will testify.
The band have spent years perfecting the driving bass lines, pounding rhythms, soaring brass lines, and gospel-inflected vocals. Their performances have become legendary during their countless sold-out residencies over the past 16 years at Ronnie Scott’s and international fans hoping to catch some of the magic have helped the band’s YouTube live studio sessions reach over 7 million streams.
Book now – it’s going to be another sell-out!
The Soul Family Band, fronted by MOBO nominated vocalist, Natalie Williams (ex Incognito), is joined by an incredible group of regular singers (and artists in their own right): Vula (Basement Jaxx), Sharlene Hector (Basement Jaxx), Brendan Reilly (Disclosure), Ladonna Harley Peters (Emeli Sande, Sam Smith, Corinne Bailey Rae), Annabel Williams (Ceelo Green, Alison Moyet, Rumer) and Vanessa Haynes (Incognito).
The Atlantic Horns (Mark Brown on sax & Ben Edwards on trumpet) have played with the likes of Amy Winehouse, Girls Aloud, Basement Jaxx, Mark Ronson and regularly tour with Robbie Williams.
The rhythm section is made up Robin Mullarkey on bass (Zero7, Roisin Murphy, Laura Mvula, ESKA), Martyn Kaine on drums (Kyle Eastwood, Nitin Sawhney, Jocelyn Brown), Phil Peskett on keys (Moloko, Cinematic Orchestra, Nik Kershaw) and Ben Jones on guitar (Pixie Lott, Kelly Rowland, Jazmine Sullivan, Westlife and the VOICE band)…
On Natalie Williams
“One of the UK’s hottest singers…she effortlessly moves from soul-diva to sensual and sophisticated jazz.” Time Out
“…People can’t help but go away with a bit of Williams’ natural sparkle having attached itself to them.” Deuce
“The moment she starts to sing she becomes a commanding, strutting presence, scatting with an infectious relish.” Telegraph

One continuous roof, every auditorium seat is undercover and allocated. The roof section over the auditorium is transparent so you will be able to enjoy the stars above, as you watch The Stars on stage!
We can close our walls for events outside the summer months. The walls are clear, so you still feel you are in the beautiful garden just with protection from the weather.
For some summer shows the lawns are opened up. You to choose where to sit when you arrive and enjoy your picnic during the event. You will need to bring your own seats, beanbags or rugs etc for the lawns.
The theatre bar will be open before the event and during the interval for hot and cold drinks, snacks, ice cream and hot sausage rolls and Cornish pasties.
