Volunteer With Us
For over 40 years The Festival theatre at Hever Castle has welcomed thousands of audience members to experience the joy of open-air theatre in one of the country’s most beautiful castle gardens, here at Hever Caste.
The festival welcomes over 10,000 visitors during the season. We rely on our dedicated team of volunteers to keep festival goers in high spirits and help with the practicalities of producing events in our atmospheric setting.
You may be looking to meet new friends, gain work experience, D of E credits, or would like to gain new skills while working in the Arts. We offer full training to volunteers who choose to work with us on; welcoming and managing audiences, Box Office, social media, marketing distribution and generally helping out to deliver our ambitious, bigger than ever, festival.
WHAT TO EXPECT
· The opportunity to join and be part of our festival family.
· The opportunity to meet local, like-minded fabulous people who also enjoy working on the festival.
· There is no specific time commitment. We agree the dates and /or performances you will work on with you in advance.
· The opportunity to see shows for free.
· The joy of working on the Hever Castle estate (It’s even better in the evenings!).
· Meet-ups throughout the year.

VOLUNTEER ROLES
STEWARDS
The friendly face of the festival and make sure that every visitor has the best experience possible. Stewards make up the vast majority of our volunteers.
BOX OFFICE
To sell tickets at theatre events during the day and evenings. Full training will be given.
MARKETING SUPPORT
We need support with everything from leafleting to social media posting.
If you have time to post our leaflet in the houses or businesses in your neighbourhood, or put up posters and banners that would be amazing.

Please note due to our location it would be difficult to volunteer for us without a car.
Volunteers must be age 18 or over, or between 14-17 years if accompanied by a parent/guardian volunteer.
