‘I took a group to Shoe Baby that ranged from18 months to 70 years (yes…great granny came too!) and we all LOVED IT, bought the book, bought the CD and are just about to buy our tickets to see it again …It’s marvellous.’ – Niky, Editor Netmums

‘A story full of ridiculous charm.’ – The Guardian

Shoe Baby is a magical puppet show. A fantastical sing-a-long adventure with a baby who takes to the sea, the air, the zoo all in a shoe! Adapted from the book written by well-known author, Joyce Dunbar and illustrated by Polly Dunbar, the music is written by talented musician, Tom Gray of the award-winning band Gomez.

Based on the colourful and charming picture book from the mother-and-daughter team “There once was a baby who hid in a shoe, and had learned how to say ‘How do you do?’. In a shoe you might think there is not much to do, but this very same baby went to sea in that shoe!” And so the baby’s journey continues – but where are his parents? Could the two giants looking for a baby and a shoe be them?

Two Sisters’ Theatre

Located on the Two Sister’s Lawn, our new theatre has…

One continuous roof, every auditorium seat is undercover and allocated. The roof section over the auditorium is transparent so you will be able to enjoy the full vista, as you watch The Stars on stage!

We can close our walls for events outside the summer months. The walls are clear so you still feel you are in the beautiful garden just with protection from the weather.

The theatre bar will be open before the event and during the interval (if the show has one) for hot and cold drinks, snacks and ice cream.
